Domestic Violence Classes at Twin Palms

About the Batterer Intervention Program (BIP)

Individuals convicted on domestic violence charges are often ordered to complete domestic violence classes as a part of their sentencing and terms of probation. The Batterer Intervention Program (BIP) at Twin Palms is a 52-week course that will satisfy court requirements and help you create a more stable future for yourself and your family.

The BIP is part education and part counseling that focuses on the causes of abusive behavior, family violence, and violence against intimate partners. Beginning with an orientation session, the weekly classes go on to give participants the tools and approaches they can use to create lasting personal change. These are changes that need to happen to avoid repeated domestic violence offenses in the future. The goal of domestic violence classes at Twin Palms is to create or restore a healthy home life for our clients.

How to Enroll in the Batterer Intervention Program

Twin Palms offers affordable programs with convenient class times. You can enroll in the BIP program in person at one of our three locations: El Monte, and  La Puente. The enrollment fee is due at the time of registration.

We want to be sure our clients have many options for class times. As a BIP participant at Twin Palms, you can choose sessions that best fit your schedule. Our domestic violence classes are held at various times throughout the day and during the evening on weekdays, and Saturday classes are also available. Once you choose a location, you must remain at that location for the duration of your program. There are also Spanish-speaking classes available. BIP telehealth sessions via Zoom are available.
